Roll Mills Type HW 3

High-Capacity Three Roll Mill
High-Capacity Three Roll Mill

Roll mills type HW 3 operate with three rolls and serve to homogenize soap mixed with additives.

Homogenizing takes place in the adjustable gap of the rolls rotating with different velocities. The gap of the upper and the lower roll is adjustable by hand by means of cams. In the upper roll the soap film is rolled to a thickness of 0.1 to 0.2 mm and discharged from the rolls as flakes with a scraping knife.

For continuous production the soap is discharged opposite to the feeding side. For discontinuous production the discharge is made on the feeding side, the flakes are sampled in a box with bottom slide and then fed again. T

he rolls are made of high-grade cast iron, have a ground surface and run in anti-friction bearings. They have internal water cooling to prevent undue heating of the soap. Drive is done by motor with soft start for limitation of the torque, V-belt and spur wheels.
